Serving our community & environment, in partnership with local businesses, since 1984.

Here, at the Tri Valley Food & Goods Rescue team, we operate solely through volunteer hours from our active members. The members of our team work collectively towards the goal of reducing food and goods waste. We invest our families’ time knowing we receive a return that benefits not only our own families, but also our local communities as well as businesses we collect donations from. Our activities have grown beyond that of the traditional gleaning group; our dedication to environmental and social aspects of providing a service to our local communities have modernize our activity to be classified as a food recovery group or food rescue organization - both of which are a wave towards the world being a better, cleaner place. We truly love what we do and feel great about helping our neighbors and local communities with the work we do all year long.

We work hard to provide to local area non-profits. Our attitude is one of gratitude and we love sharing our bounty with those groups and people in need.

What We've Achieved

Throughout the week, our team distributes food to private organizations that help people in our local community. The Boys and Girls Club, Take the Next Step, Matthew House and Women’s Gospel Mission are a few of the locations we service on a regular basis.

Twice a week, our group hosts a community food share for all to come benefit from our food recovery work. We ask participants to please take and share the food to neighbors, friends and all in need; we simple ask that none of it be thrown out.

Typically one could expect to find a variety of deli items, fruits, vegetables, bread & pastry products of all kinds and, most of the time, pizza too!

We aim to reduce waste by getting these products into the community, to help others, before it needs to be given to animals or compost. All we ask of our participants is that they come take, and share abundantly!
